forming a sort of puppy arch

Links are 2 1/8" long x 1 1/16" each

and I think quite a work of art

There is one small split in the surface of the wood of the back leg visible on one side

What I find especially amazing is the vessel inside of which this figure snuggly fits the bottom is carved of wood, and the top is hardened, dark green painted (now very crusty) leather, which is hinged at the back corners and lifts
