Among my very favorite tiny animal in the Critical EYE collection is this wonderful Inuit hand-carved polar bear

or on top of a table

with ceramic yellow-glazed beads interspersed

though traces of light green paint remain (just on the backsides)

decorated with the same ball and thread pattern

Made of papier mch, I believe, which has been hand painted and lacquered, each one is a little different, adding up to really lovely and unusual set.
