Plenty of foxing/staining to the backing paper to which the embroidery is mounted but the embroidery is in fairly good shape and I would hang it just as it is

as it is right about then that one sees grave markers carved with hands pointing heavenward in just this manner

Original frame, found in New England, and I would confidently bet painted somewhere between Gloucester, MA and Bar Harbor, Maine. 14 1 2" x 10 3 4" framed, under glass, as found. Backed by wood in the frame. Some general light age toning to the paper, all of a piece with it. Wired on the back
