On the back inside cover is a great little drawing of a man in orange coat

which I believe would have been used for hunting (impaling) frogs

It looks like the gold paint was painted (maybe not too long ago) over an older grayish green

10 3/4" t x 4 3/4" w (with bird) x 3 7/8" d

and I must say it makes me pretty happy just to look at them

Quite a curious vision in her ringlets and flounces and hair flowers and magic wand in hand looking as if about to head to a ball with the statue who stands beside her, a miniature knight in shining armor as her date! What makes it ever weirder is that the stamp on the back of the card labels it as a boudoir portrait as if this awkward young thing were meant to be a seductress.. Makes me wonder about that Zeph Magill! Wonderfully weird. 8 1
