Description

Scarab jewelry became very popular during the Egyptian revival in the 19th century

combined with black lacquered interiors as is the case here

which I think this guy most definitely is

I'd assume French

sandwiched behind it

Lovely Sewing Tools Lot: Native American Basketry + Victorian Carved Bone farm illustration Scarab jewelry became very popularThough the little carved bone double sided pin cushion is likely early Victorian era British, I thought it made a nice complement to this lovely group of Native American basketry pieces (Maine Penobscot I believe, probably 1920s 40s), that I'm listing them all together (and at a bargain price!) The small basket is a thimble holder, the middle obviously a pin cushion, and the right a scissors holder. The basketry on all is finely done with sweet grass
