It remains in full view on the table. A banknote is borrowed, marked, andcovered by a clothgiven to a spectator to hold. Another brass tube is presented, into which the first tube is inserted. It fits snugly. The lid is put on, and this tube, too, is sealed. Suddenly, the banknote has disappeared. The spectator opens the sealed tubes and finds the banknote
