Germany, Freikorps. A Schlageter Shield, Second Pattern for Combatants, by Paul Küst visually-hidden above inscriptions of “UND IHR(Schlageterschild, II. Form fr Kmpfer). Instituted 26 May 1933 by the Schlageter Gedchtnis Bund. (1933 1936 issue). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, surrounding a central Latin Cross, flanked by campaign clasps reading SPARTAKUS 1919 23, emanating from an inscription of SCHLAGETER, in turn situated above a pair of crossed swords, the reverse with
