Of multi piece construction, consisting of an off white cotton twill base, overlaid on the obverse by a layer of maroon cotton till, defaced by a diagonal off white tresse in representation of a Latvian national emblem, topped by a black bar bearing a printed white inscription of LATVIJA, unmarked, measuring 48 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), a scarce domestically produced variant in uniform removed and
